Become an Authority


If you want to have influence over others, you will need to become an authority in your niche. Becoming an authority in your niche may not sound like an easy task, but if you follow the guidelines below it should be an easier task:

  • Provide news related to your niche. People like to know what is going on, and your site can be an excellent place to visit in order to get informed. Try to provide them with the information they seek, and at the same time try to give them something that no other blogs give. Be interesting, intriguing, be an expert in everything you are doing.
  • Transform knowledge into action. Many people like to learn practical things that can be incorporated in their life, blog, or any other place. Raw knowledge should be transformed into something that people can act upon. Visitors love reading blogs which contain articles on “How to” do things.
  • Appear as professional as possible. I believe that obtaining business cards online is one of the things that might make you look more professional.
  • If you have knowledge about other niches, then incorporate this knowledge into your posts. This will result in bringing in ideas and principles from other points of view that can benefit your site.

    • Finally, do not be afraid to talk about what you know, because if you want to be an authority, you will have to learn to do so. Be proud of what you know, and use your knowledge to your advantage whenever possible.
